Project manager: Slow Boat & Black Country Voyages (2011 – 2014)

Slow Boat (2011 – 13) and then later Black Country Voyages (2014–2017) were Ikon’s award winning, off site programmes working with members of Ikon’s Youth Prorgamme and artists comissioned to work on year-long projects.

The 70 ft long canal boat was loaned, long-term, by Sandwell Council and converted through a series of installations (on-board) as well as becoming a unique touring venue hosting meetings, workshops, talks, films screenings and countless trips exploring the ever-changing and extensive canal network.
